Guardians of Eden - 50 min documentary Multichoice/Kyknet/
Showmax
From 2023–2024, I served as Director and Writer of Guardians of Eden, a 50-minute conservation documentary commissioned by MultiChoice Group (South Africa). The film focuses on community-led conservation of highly endangered species, including pangolins and Namibia’s last free-roaming black rhino. Guardians of Eden has since been recognised internationally at film festivals, reinforcing my capacity to produce broadcast-quality work that resonates with both specialist and general audiences.

04 Echoes of the Wild/ Crossroads of Africa
Echoes of the Wild , a short documentary - written, produced and directed by Jana von Hase Bruckner is a poetic and urgent journey into the Kavango Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (KAZA), the largest terrestrial conservation landscape on Earth and home to Africa’s last great population of free-ranging savannah elephants. Told through the voice of the land and the elephants who walk it, the film explores the ancestral corridors that connect national parks, forests, rivers, and communities across five African nations. These invisible paths, ancient yet fragile, are lifelines for wildlife migration, ecosystem health, and the survival of KAZA’s transboundary elephant meta-population. As fences rise, rivers shrink, and conflict increases, Echoes of the Wild reveals that conservation in this region is not about protecting isolated parks, but preserving connectivity across a living landscape.
